Into the Hills

I'm headed up into the hills - it feels so incredible to say that and mean the Himalaya! - for three weeks. With any luck, it'll be as I dreamed: and if it is as I dreamed, it will be untouched by modern things like the internet. So no blog updates! But rest assured I will be alive and well.

I love the smell of Pokhara at night - every hotel has a garden and somehow the little flower molecules all melt together and sweeten the air. I'm going to go back to my hotel porch, drink some tea and read my novel (I'm trying The Idiot by Dostoesvsky - I could swear to you that Gandhi read it...)

It's going to be a glorious day tommorow!

hahaha, well good luck my fellow mathematician. You'll be pleased to note that I threw enough math at my audience today during my presentation to look like I knew what I was doing.

And yes, I could buy that Agnes's father is quite similar to Bruen. I wonder how many mathematicians are like ol Dr Bruen.
